Pi based batterie powered mobile gaming cabinett (self build)

dieserkai

Hei guy, a few years ago i had a spare notebook isplay panel laying around attracting dust. So i were thinging what to do with it. my idea was to build a transportable arcade cabinett.

I used qcad to draw the parts of a custom enclosure, ordered some parts (arcade joystick, some buttons, controller for the display panel) on Aliexpress and started the build.

I've cut the wood for the enclosure on my cnc router.

this is the result:

On the Softwareside it is just a standard recalboxOS

Nice build!, what kind of driver board did you use for the display panel? How did you finish the front of the enclosure, it looks professional.

i used a cheap lvds board. i've found a ebay seller who offered a lvds controller board for this specific display panel. the controller boards provides a hdmi input where the rapi connects to.

the case is just painted wood and some stickers from redbubble.
