Are there any out of the ordinary habits that you picked up from or when using tech?

Joluch

Sorry it's not completely non-tech, but couldn't find a better-suited forum.

So what kind of odd behaviour, or habit have you acquired with using technology that an average normal person might not do? Do you duck from all cameras in sight or maybe erase every cookie after a browsing session?

For me it's that whenever I delete something, I hit "shift-delete," since I'm so used to permanent delete in Windows. My friends all think it's a bit quirky.

CPU: Vulnerable to Meltdown | Motherboard: Has LEDs that I can't see | RAM: Bought too much | GPU: Mostly satisfactory so far in our relationship | Case: Shiny, black, very heavy and tall, with a Firefox sticker | Storage: Has too many old HDDs | PSU: Hasn't blown up yet like it's predecessor | Displays: Mismatched from Craigslist | Cooling: As many Noctuas as there are fan headers | Keyboard: Keys are fading |  Mouse: Needs cleaning |

Using Linux

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

"Here is some advice that might have gotten lost somewhere along the way in your life.

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.

Sometimes i right click the desktop and "update" for no particular reason, i think it sort of embedded into my mind after years and years of using slow computers, sometimes doing that would wake them up a bit.

This is actually not that uncommon i think, i know a couple of friends that also have this habit, even after all of us having decent computers.

Disgusting, you took part in RUINING THE ECONOMY?

/s but it is annoying that people didn't think that the prices would drop due to a sudden influx of previously rare items.

Getting fucked on every crate I unboxed is burnt into my brain.

I ended up just spending the money on what I wanted anyways rather than unboxing.

I see. I almost wanted to pick up some of the Handyman's Handles unboxed from the crates, but I opted against it solely because Valve locked the market by then.

Meh, I'm largely more into Strange cosmetics and Killstreak/Professional Killstreak weapons than unusuals; it's why my only unusual is my Pyro unusual.

I have... 18 Strange items. Six are cosmetics, including the Reindoonicorn that I use permanently that has around 222k points.

I have 14 Professional Killstreak items, which is less than the most I've ever had at 22. Need to build back up to that, especially since I sold off a decent chunk of it a few months back.
