Hello everyone,

 

I've just signed up after having a quick browse and I am on my way to having my first PC build after getting some help and ideas from co-workers

Since I have been provided with the build via PCpartpicker. I have been browsing around online and watching reviews of multiple motherboards at this time

This upgrade is needed as I use Mixed in Key, Platinum Notes, Serato & OnOneSoftware

Currently I have been sitting on a Dell Inspiron 660 i3 2nd gen for about 7 years - pretty sure it's time to move along to something that I will enjoy

 

I look forward to hanging around the forum and chit chatting.

If you at any point have questions about any components in your upcoming build, be sure to create a thread in the appropriate subforum and if you want help with your full build, we have a 'New Builds and Planning' sub forum too!

 

it always helps with such threads to give a bit of context, like your current build, programs you want to use, (approximate) budget and what the problems/performance is now and what you would want it to be.

I live in misery USA. my timezone is central daylight time which is either UTC -5 or -4 because the government hates everyone.

good for you! building a pc for the first time can seem daunting, but it's really not that hard, and quite a useful skill.
