Is there any difference between the pro ject phono box and phono box II.

Buying a phono preamp

Could you by any chance link the two phono pre-amps? Pro-Ject have an unreasonable amount of products named "Phono Box" and I can't seem to find the second rendition on their website.

Price is almost the same so im wandering is the II better

The Phono Box II sports some specs that are a bit better, but it's honestly pretty negilable.

The main thing you need to ask yourself is if you need a USB output and/or the option for a moving coil input.
