Help picking a laptop for university

Hi guys, I'm looking to get a laptop for university, and im looking at this laptop right now:

ASUS ROG Strix GL703GM-EE014T

I can get it for around £1100, which is my price range at the moment.

I don't know much about laptops so please could someone help me with deciding?

I'm doing a computer science course so there will be some programming but i doubt it will be too intensive. The most important thing i will be using it for is some 3d modelling for game development. I want to be able to run software like blender smoothly which is why i opted for a more expensive laptop, but I have no idea if i would be over killing for specs or if I'm overpaying ect.

Please could someone let me know if this is a good buy, or if I can get better for the money, or if I can get something cheaper for similar specs!

I am in the UK if that makes a difference.

If you have to do a lot of actual blender rendering you should just build a desktop PC and remote desktop into it since you probably have internet everywhere anyways.
