Other than the chance it wouldn't appropriately fix the CPU into the socket, there's not really any issue.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

It good, as long as the bracket catches under the screw. I guess by doing the bracket manually you make sure you don't just put down the lever without it catching under this screw/standoff.

I see, doesnt the bracket only catch onto the screw once its almost fully pressed down? The bracket falls down as soon as you put the lever down

Yea, I can't imagine it wouldn't go in the same way, but maybe because manufacturing tolerances it can happen...?

Do you think one would notice if it were to not by not catching onto the screw?

If it didn't catch the screw, you'd not have the CPU seated correctly and it may fall out or block the cooler.

Wait, if im not mistaking the screw keeps the bracket down which keeps the lever from popping up. If it didnt catch the screw then wouldnt the bracket and lever both pop up

Yeah, you'd basically know right away if you failed to get the lid under the screw.
