Does the i7 7700x exist?

I was browsing Craigslist recently and found a listing for an i7 7700x, and there's actually a picture of it. I've never heard of this chip, and can't find it anywhere when I google it. Is this a real cpu? Is it an obscured K?

There's an i7-7740X, but no 7700X. Might be misprinted, might be a fake.

Though since it says 4.20 GHz on there, I imagine it could be a 7700K (as the 7740X has a 4.30 GHz clock)

Yeah, when I first saw it I said to myself "Is that the weird i7 that goes in the HEDT boards," but I found out that is the 7740x, like you said. After looking at it closer I'm leaning more on it being an obscured K.

Agree it looks like some thermal compound on the K which makes it look like an X.
