It's a lower voltage, less heat producing chip. TDP in the 15-25w range (configurable by laptop maker) compared to 65w TDP for a 2200g or 2400g
They achieve this by having the core frequencies at a 2 Ghz default with boost up to 3.6ghz instead of 3.6ghz default for 2400g. Also, the integrated graphics is comparable to the one in 2200g (Vega 8 , 1100 Mhz).
