HDD reuse

So I have recently bought a new PC with very little SSD space (240GB).Can I reuse my older HDD in the new PC?

If so,is there anything I must do so the new PC recognises the HDD or do I have just to connect it and it will be fine?

Yes you can reuse it, just connect it to the new PC using both SATA power and SATA3 data cables, you might have to assign it a letter but that's pretty much there is to it:

ist it a desktop or a laptop what you bought?

 

your previos machine was a desktop or a laptop?

 

the previos hard disk had windows installed in it? has a windows folder and other folders related to windows?

 

how old is that hard disk?

Yes, just connect it! You might have to go to disk management to assign a proper letter to it, but otherwise it should just work.

 

Laptop hard drives should also be just fine generally. Some use a weird mini SATA power connector or something, but cheap adapters for those exist.

Even SATA2 would work fine, no worries there.
