Issue activating windows 10

I recently installed a new CPU, motherboard, psu, and ram to my system and now my windows 10 is no longer activated. I can no longer activate windows and I just get an error code 0xC004F025 in the activation section in settings. Troubleshooting does not help at all and I've restarted my computer to try to fix it but nothing has worked. I no longer have the original key, by the way.

You have an OEM key, which cannot be activated on a system with a different motherboard. If you need license that can be transferred between computers, you will have to buy a retail key from Microsoft. Otherwise, you can purchase another $3-5 OEM key from eBay.

you changed the motherboard, you will likely need a new key

 

try the phone activator, and explain to MS that you changed the motherboard, and if it was linked to a Microsoft account, you might get them to reactivate it for you

I don't have an OEM key, I bought a copy of windows 10 at micro center a few years back.

OEM keys can be purchased from Micro Center, they are significantly cheaper than their retail counterpart. If you are positive that you purchased a retail key and you are signed into a Microsoft account, use the "I changed hardware on this device recently" option once the troubleshooter has completed.

If this doesn't work, you can try contacting Microsoft support and explain your situation. In most case they will issues you with a new key.

I get MS to activate windows systems for me whenever I want by saying I bought a key from MS and it didnt work, then supplying them with a non-valid OEM key.
