Are condenser mics more consistent?

So I'm a twitch streamer and I ended up getting the shure SM57 dynamic mic for my microphone. But what I'm noticing is that when an inch away from my mic my voice is loud but than I notice a huge dip in volume over a half inch more than that. 

What I'm wondering is, would a condenser microphone be more consistent with its volume?

You can just turn the gain up on your current mic. If it doesn't have the option to do it in mic then you can use an amp or digitally

Just keeping this here as a You can just turn the gain up on your current mic. If it doesn't have the option to do it in mic then you can use an amp or digitally 

I have it turned up to 25+ it's not matter of volume, just a matter of consistency

Hey 

An Output from a Mic is Not Linear plus Dynamic Microphones are not very sensitive that's the reason for that, on the a condenser Mic is much more Sensitive So it Might give you a more consistent Output but I don't really know if it would be enough or not (Maybe it will be). What you actually need is a Compressor between your Signal Chain. What Are you using to connect the microphone to your Computer?

Im using an XLR cable plugged into a Steingber UR12 audio interface
