I5 8600K undervolt.

Hi guys, 

 

Title covers it all really, I want to undervolt my CPU for two reasons one being heat I have my pc in a new place and gets a little warm on my feet! and two I'm just curious to try it out.

I know someone is going to say "Why undervolt a 8600K the K series is for overclocking!!" At the time they had a deal where the K was cheaper than then 8400 so I went for it.

 

So does anyone have experience with undervolting a i5 8600k or know a good guide for it?

just set voltage to offset mode and decrease the offset applied until it gets unstable. Stability testing part is the same as overclocking

SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93s

Thanks I'm just having a play now. If I start asking people to recommend a new CPU you know its not gone well!
