Removing the prank since some of you all are concerned.

 

 

Appreciate the worrying; I promise I would have not have done it if my team, boss, and workplace were not comfortable with this.

 

However, to avoid being disruptive, I'm stopping the prank and removing the post.

I just hope for you that your boss can take a joke, otherwise I'll be looking forward to your next post saying "so my boss found out what I did and fired me".

Nah, my boss is super cool; office pranks are common place. Our team lead would occasionally hide sticky notes in my boss's office with his name on it

and then one day he filled every spot in the office with sticky notes. all good fun. he's still a team lead

If its a small company, Id say do it (since you described the atmosphere as such) but if its a Corporation, newwwwp.
