Upgrading Ryzen 2200g build

Hello, i want to ask you for some advice on upgrading

this is my current build

CPU
AMD Ryzen 3 2200g

RAM
DDR4 8GB 2666mhz apacer Panther (4x2)

Motherboard
ASRock A320M-HDV (AM4)

Should i upgrade my ram ? Upgrade my cpu ? add a discrete gpu?  i will have a budget around $200

i will be using it for Adobe Illustrator (big files), Hitfilm express(1080p), and little Gaming (Game like Apex Legend).

i wonder what upgrade should i do? and the gaming isnt really important if that helps

I would recommend upgrading your RAM first as that is the cheapest and will arguably have the most performance impact for under $200.

You could consider the new Ryzen 5 3400G as an upgrade along with the RAM.

I would just make sure your motherboard will support it after a BIOS update.

AMD Ryzen 7 @ 3.9ghz 1.35v w/ Noctua NH-D15 SE AM4 Edition

ASUS STRIX X370-F GAMING Motherboard

ASUS STRIX Radeon RX 5700XT

Samsung 960 EVO 500GB NVME

Elgato HD60 Pro

Sceptre C305B-200UN Ultra Wide 2560x1080 200hz Monitor

Logitech G910 Orion Spectrum Keyboard

Logitech G903 Mouse

Oculus Rift CV1 w/ 3 Sensors + Earphones

Here is a review on the new APUs, which actually undoes my recommendation a bit:

It may be more beneficial to upgrade your ram and get a dedicated graphics card that will be able to gpu accelerate for you to help out with some of the heavy lifting.

If you can save, it may be beneficial to get a cheap first gen ryzen 5 1600 and a discrete card for a true upgrade.

However, I do stand by getting more RAM as a good place to start.

Gaming-wise, you're better off getting a discrete GPU but for productivity or generally, a RAM upgrade is great, especially if you can get high speed ones (3000MHz and above) at 16GB dual channel...

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X; GPU: MSI RTX 2060 Gaming Z; MoBo: MSI B450 Gaming Plus ATX; RAM: TForce Delta TUF RGB 3200MHz (2x8) 16GB;

Case: CoolerMaster MB511 RGB TG; PSU: Seasonic Prime FX Gold 750W Fully Modular; CPU Cooling: Cooler Master MA620P; Storage: WD Blue 250GB SATA SSD & Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM; Monitor: MSI MAG241C 144Hz Curved Gaming Panel; Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB Platinum (MX Brown); Mouse: Fantech X11 Daredevil
