New Mic

Go to solution Solved by nsyedhasan,

I'd say get a Blue Yeti or AT2020.

I really need a microphone and have no Idea of what I should look for. I looked at the Snowball ICE but it seems a bit bulky and kinda in the way for streaming (what I want it for). What should I do?

Definitely a blue snowball, I'm loving mine so much. Great sound if its relatively close, and overall a great value for the money.

Pro-tip: take an embroidery hoop and wrap panty hoes around the inner ring and tighten the outer ring to make a super cheap and effective pop filter :P

I have the yeti and if he thinks the snowball is bulky then the yeti is even worse. It's a great mic but it's one that needs a space of its own. I had to move my tower off my desk and onto the floor because the desk was too crowded with both the tower and mic. (I have a relatively small desk with a dual monitor set up and graphics tablet)

I'd look at getting yourself a boom arm to go along with whatever mic you choose. Positioning it closer to your mouth will be more beneficial for streaming than placement on your desk.

MAN that's old school ghetto right there,  I haven't seen or heard anyone do that since '91.  B)
