GTX 980 ti is like a 1070 or a 2060 or a vega 56

it was prooved as bullshit, invest those money in yourself, learn something new, get a trip, new car. no need to upgrade to work on this pc, video editing or something, otherwise this will be vain benchmark need.

That is a blatant, and false rumor. They do not reduce performance of older cards.

They are all within 10-15% of each other, this is a general overview and a golden sample 980ti will beat a shitty 1070, but a good 1070 would beat the 980ti.

well seeing as the 1660ti is around $280 and the 980ti is slightly faster

OP the RX 5700 is quite a bit faster than the 980ti you have there just so you know there are team red options too

980ti is often very close to 1070s, as in margin of error differences most of the time as far as I can tell.

rx5700 is out of the question for me since miners are quite popular where I live and it's gonna be tough to even find a new one

RX5700 dont have a miner that work for them yet so no one really knows if they will be any good, unless that has changed in the last few days since I last looked into it.

Does the card still do what you need it to do? If so, no upgrade necessary. If you want ray tracing, grab a 2060S or 2070S or an older 2070

Read what I said, IF it still does what you need then don’t upgrade. If you want ray tracing upgrade to one of the aforementioned models.

 

the 20 series will definitely improve your gaming experience - 2060 maybe not so but 2070 and up and 2060S and up.

No but upgrading to a BETTER card will. The flagship of yesteryear is the midrange of this year.
