im looking to build my first pc soon with a budget of 1000 dollars, monitor and peripherals included. my main goal is to be able to play destiny 2, as well as apex legends, warframe, and some other lighter titles. here is a link to my build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8rhJjy if anyone is able to help me make improvements both in perfromance and looks, that would be great. i definitely want a new case, but thats not as important to me as other things.

That's actually quite a great and balanced build, I doubt there are any more improvements you can make. However it seems like you still have around 90$ to spend and I recommend better peripherals.
Edit: also do you already have headphones? or did you forget about those?
If you did I recommend the Corsair HS60 surround, seen a couple of reviews and it seems like a good deal.

Also you I recommend getting a mechanical keyboard over the k55, I tried it as my brother has one and didn't really like the mushyness of the keys and all. I mean if you don't want to buy redragon or a different brand, corsair sells an Cherry MX Red board for just 5 dollars more than the k55 however it does not feature RGB and it isn't full size.

If you want RGB though and full size keyboard, and mechanical switches, then for the same 49.99 you can have the Redragon K551-RGB VARA. It does have outemu blue switches so they are a tad loud, but I've been using an outemu blue mechanical keyboard for 5-6 months and haven't had any issues, really nice switches and they work great.

Overall build is good..

I'll just swap this SSD with something like mx500/p1/xpg sx6000 pro/660p/EX920...

I have encountered two of my l5 lite 3d drives failing on me. I know that it is the cheapest 1tb SSD, but reliability is a thing.
