AMD and Nvidia in same system?

Hello all,

 

So I've heard rumors of people having both AMD and Nvidia cards in their system. I guess people use the Nvidia card for the Phys X and the AMD for everything else. Just wondering if there is any truth to that? My friend just bought a new card for his system and he's willing to sell me his old 560 for $60. I already have a 7970, and I love it. Is it worth it buying the 560 from him? Can I actually do anything with it?

It's more like ann AMD card for mining and NVIDIA for everything else.

I run right now a gtx 770 and a 7970 and they work perfectly fine and have had no problems in my rig. In you case do not do that just use the 7970 you could slow it down by using the 560 for physx. If you fold it will be fine.

for $60 why not its a decent card right now
