I'm buying an iPhone X that doesn't come with the box..

If I buy a box afterwards for when I want to sell the iPhone is there any way of knowing that its not the original box?

Pretty sure the box has a serial number sticker on the side / bottom of it. Or at least they used too.

I think the serial number of the device is on the box, although I could be wrong here.

Yes, but no one will ever check it. 

However, if you sell it after using it for a while, no one cares if you have a box or not. It's used.

Damn.. thanks anyway guys. I know the box isnt a big deal I just like selling my phones as a complete package with everything it originally came with. Serial number isnt a massive issue so it should be fine
