B450/X470 Motherboard

Hi all

I am looking for a B450/X470 motherboard for a Ryzen 7 2700.

It needs to be affordable, and have decent overclocking potential.

If the board is likely to support 3rd gen Ryzen then that's great

Note: don't mention anything about getting a Ryzen 3rd gen, I have my reasons.

I believe every B450 and X470 board supports 3rd gen.

Got a budget?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I usually recommend the ASRock B450 Pro4 in that budget range. It has a good 6 phase VRM and is very affordable.

Aorus motherboards are also good in the bang for buck department

The tomahawk is a solid motherboard, with a good VRM and really useful motherboard features.

The tomahawk is a good board, that’s what I run. I ran my 1800x on it for 6 months at 4ghz 24/7 with 1.34 volts.

Im putting a ryzen 5 3600 in it tomorrow soon as it shows up in the mail. It has 1 m.2 slot so if you need more look elsewhere. I think it’s the best bang for your buck board out there for the AM4 socket

No cpu mobo or ram atm

2tb wd black gen 4 nvme

2tb seagate hdd

Corsair rm750x

Be quiet 500dx

Gigabyte m34wq 3440x1440

Xbox series x
