I've replaced quite literally everything in my system now trying to fix a really hair pulling issue.
My PC keeps shutting off, no BSOD, no warning, just black screen. The LED on my mobo are still lit afterwards, and I can't turn the system back on unless I switch the PSU off, wait 10 secs, switch on again. I've replaced my cpu, mobo, gpu, ssd, psu, and ram in an attempt to fix this issue, and after getting a replacement cpu and ram, it seemed to be fine for a whole 24 hours before it abruptly shutdown....

I've monitored the temperatures and benchmarked my gpu and cpu individually, and they're all within safe operating temps, even when gaming.
Here are my specs.
Ryzen 5 2600
A320m mobo
16gb corsair ddr4 3000mhz ram
GTX 2060 6gb
750w 80+ gold cooler master psu
Samsung 1tb ssd

Windows 10 64bit

BIOS hasn't been updated, but I updated my previous mobo bios when it was still in use and that did not fix the issue.

Pc hard crashes when playing games or even on the desktop.

i know this is super basic.. but have you made sure the outlet on the building has no problems over that time period?

and or the power cord you are using

Hi, indeed I have, I've even taken it to a friends place and had the same issue, my power cord has also been replaced.

Sounds like you have a short somewhere.

I missed that part , yeah that kinda sounds like short protection.

You didn't mention changing the case its in , try building it outside the case and see if that has any effect at all

Okay, I'll do that now, although I have already done so in the past with my previous specs that also had the same issue.

I'll report back in a bit.

it's not a common problem , but rarely i've seen grounding issues between the actual power supply and motherboard.

SOME computers I've worked on back in the day solved this by using tiny cardboard washer to isolate the motherboard from the power supply. You shouldn't have to do this these days but it's worth checking at this point.

Can you please elaborate more on this? I've no idea what you mean.

I've built the system outside of the case, over an anti static bag. I'll benchmark and see if anything changes.

Sorry for the cable gore, I asure you nothing is touching.

Btw, I can hear the PSU whining in tune with the dimming LED on my mobo. Is this normal?

a 750w power supply shouldn't really have any issues powering a system like this , if you think it may be suspect you can try a different power supply

It's suspect, but I was using a different PSU beforehand with my last specs that was doing the same thing as current. I handed that one off to a friend to use in his system, and he's had no issue with it, and is still using it in his system when I asked this morning.

Okay, I tried benchmarking my gpu in furmark just then and my system shut off almost immedietly. I can hear the intune whining of my psu, and the LEd on my board are still present. I am unable to turn it back on without flipping the psu power switch first.

EDIT: The only peripherals installed at this time were keyboard and mouse.

That part sounds like a bad power supply then.

Before you run any stress tests, run something to monitor temps, use the system outside the case, like you are now, for a day or so doing non-GPU intensive stuff (surfing, etc) see what happens.

If it behaves itself, then stress test, watch temps and see what happens.

Report back

I can assure you I have already done what you've outlined here.

All temps are within safe and recommended limits. Pc will shut off even without load.

Guess I'll bite the bullet and buy a new power supply.

Before you do that...does your mobo/cpu combo offer built-in GPU?

If it does, try that, perhaps the  nVidia GPU is bad?

No unfortunately...

I've got an rx580 here that I've tested it with and it hasn't changed anything.
