Solid! In your budget, I see no reason not to grab a 3700X though! The difference will be great over a 3600.

Hey guys, im planning on building a new pc in the up comming months, I'm an avid gamer boy and also like to do video editing and music production. I want the specs to accomidate a GeForce RTX 2080 8GB GPU. And a good CPU though i dont have any in mind (didnt do the research XD).

My budget is around $3000 but i definitely want to save when i can! meaning: I dont give a crap about RGB over quality. I hope you guys can suggest good options for a pc around this build and budget. Also dont forget to research ompatibility between mother board and CPU's.

PS: ill be really active and reply to almost every comment.! <3

Many of those parts in each of the builds are pretty high end, you can save in really any area. Motherboard probably more specifically- unless you want an x570 board

That drastically changes things, yes. Maybe this then. Again the X470 board is a placeholder for the X570 board:

All of those changes are fine EXCEPT for the RAM. You do NOT want to pair Ryzen with 2400MHz RAM. The reason you don't see the CPU is because it's not out until the 7th.

Yes, I'd say waiting for Ryzen will be best for your needs. It's only a week away. You're doing productivity work, and the new Ryzen CPUs are absolute beasts for productivity workloads. Yes, 3200MHz RAM will perform a lot better, especially with Ryzen CPUs. If you didn't want to wait, I'd say you would go with something like this:

The CPU cooler and tower are not compatible. The 9600K is a great gaming chip, but it's not very good at productivity workloads like your video rendering and sound production.

here is my list now. And btw i only work on small video projects so in my case the i9 is not needed. though i could go for an i7 if it is much better than the i5. Tell me what you think. also i could just use my 1tb storage space on my current pc and move it to the new one.

Change the PSU from the g3 to the g2. The g3 has some issues. Other than that this is definitely a solid gaming build. As for the rendering, it's more about how often you render. If it's frequent I'd step up to the 9700K or 9900K or again, wait for new Ryzen. If it's infrequent, then yeah, you can probably get away with the 9600K.
