Hey guys I currently have a stock intel cooler on my 3770K what would be the best All in One I can get? And what fans would you recommend I was thinking of a Swiftech H220 with some Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-15s but I have no first hand experience with anything water cooling( other than cars that is) so all help is appreciated and welcome. If you have any out of the ordinary suggestions mind you I cant fit much in a 600t that is for a custom loop.

the thick 240mm zalman one would be the best then...

Anything I write is just a comment, take is as such, there is no guarantees associated with anything I say.

Just to chime in about the AIO coolers, while I do see the appeal in the looks a few things you have to remember is:

-most 240mm AIO coolers perform much the same as high end air coolers such as the Noctua NH-D14, the Phanteks PH-TC14PE or Thermalright Silver Arrow perform much the same for in some cases twice the price.

-These coolers can leak and the coolant is rather harmful to your components:

Leak pictures

an H100 and Coolit Eco ALC both produced by Coolit as you can see that coolant is nasty stuff and unlike a lot of coolants you can buy it does conduct meaning in the case of a leak you can have some serious damage, and most manufacturers will NOT cover the damages there was 1 case I know of where a guy managed to get some of hos damaged hardware replaced by corsair however they where only willing to offer $150 for the Gigabyte GTX670 and motherboard that where damaged to begin with.

-You also have pump noise, these coolers are cheap, for a 240mm rad, a decent pump, res and waterblock you would set yourself back quite a bit, this should already make it obvious these things are built on a budget and there are many cases of loud pumps and failures in the block or pump

Now if I where to recommend one of these coolers it would have to be the Swiftech H220, being that it effectively uses an Apogee Drive II and a Swiftech rad with a res built into it its going to be higher quality (as reflected by the price) and being expandable you can improve its performance by adding more rad space and refilling it with new coolant, Personally id either go full loop or high end air but it is honestly up to you.

Threads where I pulled the leak photos from (or did before the forum refused to allow me to post jpeg images), obviously the unhappy people make a whole lot more noise so take it with a pinch of salt and look into it more before choosing your cooler be it air or AIO

Directed at OP: The H220 is a tricky one. I'd say no. Its a bad idea. If you ever plan to expand then don't use this as a base. Buy a starter kit or simply as for a component list. Read the stickies at the top of this forum, then decide.

the playing field is pretty level, they all (except swiftech) deal from the same

factories, just different warranty and fans. so there is no clear-cut best.

my personal experience is using the corsair H100 hasn't let me down, but 12

out of the 14 I have installed one instance I had to RMA one with a broken

fan controller.. i buy corsair as they have done well by me..

Not sure you could hit 4.7 on any aio or air solution. :( I may be wrong though)

Unless you're willing to tolerate like high 80s to 90+ degree celsius on your CPU, you won't be able to sustain like 4.7 and above with having go to a custom loop  :( . These AIO liquid coolers are decent at best unless you're talking about the H220 which is beast! 4.5 Ghz and below I'd recommend a h100 since I've used it before and I didn't have any bad experiences with it.

"Get out of" and "have it at the frequency permanently" is a big difference.

All I said was "get out of" and "have as a permanent clock is a big difference", which is true. I didn't say what you said was wrong. :o

Anyway even the video said that 4.8 was too hot to be comfortable with.
