Windows Explorer is acting up again...

So I was playing around with Windows Explorer and I got the Menu bar to come up. I like it, but now I want it to go away. But even when I uncheck it, reboot, logoff, and anything else, it's still there. This is the little guy I'm talking about. How can I get rid of it?

Try restoring defaults.

Is that the thing that comes up when you press alt?

No, under Organize there's a menu (Layout) where you can change things like that, the navigation bar, details bar, etc.

Try restoring defaults.

Can't. There isn't an option for that. Just a checkbox which I've clicked on a lot.

I know there is some kind of preference pane for the explorer, just keep trying different settings.

This is my opinion, it doesn't mean I'm right and is liable to change at any time. I may offend of which I apologize in advance.

You should be able to right-click on the menu bar (or a blank area at the top) and click on Menu Bar to uncheck it.

I have the option to enable the Bing Bar and Avast!, but not disable it. Good thing I'm getting an SSD for it soon (hopefully).
