GPU for photo editing

Hello, i am photographer and looking for gpu. What gpu would make sense for me to use with programs like Capture One and Photoshop ? I know these are mainly cpu based but for example Capture One has GPU acceleration option. My current GTX 1080ti would be overkill for that and I would like to sell it coz i do not play games anymore. GPU would be used only for photo-editing. Thanks for the advice P.S. using 4k monitor

I don't see how something like a used RX 480 8GB or something along those lines wouldn't serve you well in this role. If you go through a few Ebay listings, you can almost definitely grab one up for $110 tops. So you'll still have most of your money left from getting rid of the 1080Ti.

why, in need of money? Ideal GPU is the 1660 according to current prices, but buying that new will just give you... about $200 back.

just wasting time if you ask me. I'd just keep the 1080ti and use it for a super long time until it's no longer good enough if I were you.

Yeah no reason to sell it unless you need some money.

You can run it off, maybe someday you'll get into video editing it would be a good card.

Or you can unplug it and use the iGpu inside your CPU, it could handle photo editing.

I am a professional photographer who works with both still images and video.

My GTX 660 is more than adequate for my needs. The difference between my card and yours for processing is probably measured in tenths of a second, tbh.
