Minecraft modding in pop os

Go to solution Solved by Nettly_,

So I found an easy way to fix this on any distro.
Considering you already have Minecraft this should not be a problem but make sure you have Java 8 Runtime (NO HIGHER NOR LOWER, will not work otherwise).

First install techniclaucher from https://www.technicpack.net/download and get the Forge 1.12.2 mod "pack" where they have forge installed and working. After installing goto modpack options, open the install folder, go to the mods folder in there, and put your mods there.

I am trying to install mods in pop os but I can't.

I got optifine working but it suddenly stopped working and when I try to run optifine or forge minecraft crashes.

btw I also can't run the optifine or forge installer I had to run them on my map and move them to my pc
