Which out of these 2 ssds to get?

Hamface55

Should I get the mx500 or the silicon power ace a55? They are only $10 apart.

Silicon power has, to my knowledge always been an "entry level" budget option. Servicable, but not necessarily the best money spent for what you're getting.

The MX500 by some standards is considered a more budget option as well, compared to something like the EVO series from Samsung (which are largely cvonsidered the top tier consumer SSD's), but micron has a very strong history, and a solid reputation. I use two MX series SSD's in my system, and am quite happy with them. You'll get a second MX500 recommendation from me.

While I've never used one so I can't comment from experience, the Crucial MX500s have an excellent reputation as a budget SSD and will beat the holy hairy heck out of Silicon Power.

I prefer to use Samsung Pros and EVOS (Pros in a computer that runs 24/7 and EVOS for my notebooks and my backup drives). They do cost more Heowever, you generally get what you pay for.
