hoi is the Dutch version of hi, 'hoi' actually sounds exactly like the Dutch word 'hooi'. That words means hay, which coincidentally sounds exactly like the word 'hey'. Funny coincidence huh???

Dutch and English has the same hey/hay-word thing-y-me-bobber. 

 

Actually it's not funny. 'hey' is not an official word, it's a phrase made up by dads to be able to make very very funny jokes. Well I'll tell you one thing; I have not laughed at those in nearly 15 years! 15 years!!!!  That is more years than the average lifespan of a multiplayer battle royale survival action fps third person role playing game! 

 

So in short: we should ban the use of the word 'hey'. So hi.
