WD SN750 SSD doesn't reach advertised speeds

Senenter

Hi!

I just installed a WD SN750 M.2 NVME SSD and tried to test its speeds. But i don't get near the advertised 3100 m/bs read speeds. I am using a MSI z97a Gaming 7 board.

I am not sure if it is something that i did wrong? I am using a fresh windows install also.

Allright! well, it is not that big of a deal (should have done better research still) since i will be going to a Ryzen 3700x next month. Thanks for the quick reply! wasn't aware of these kind of differences with the M.2 slot.

Well,

I belive Senzelian nailed it.

I've got the same WD_BLACK SN750 model (mine is the 500GB version but results WILL vary upon the model's capacity) running on my z390 motherboard and the AS SSD benchmark results are as expected.

WD SSD Dashboard (free to download) can show you what interface/speed your driver is set to.
