I'm starting to do some machine learning, and kinda want to build a cheap server. Suppose I have a budget of ~500$, I already have CPU+Mobo (prob use my i5-8400 + B360M DS3H from my current build when I get something like Ryzen 3700X), and mabye ram, what are some microatx 2U (lockable) chassis w/ 4 half height PCIe + GPU + PSU + SSD do you reccomend?

I found this

https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Chassis-Rackmount-Computer-RSV-2600/dp/B00EW0K8LU (chassis)

for cpu cooler, either

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CZZZ4DQ + 60mm noctua fan + homemade duct tape shroud (should be decent)

or

https://www.newegg.com/silverstone-argon-series-sst-ar09-115xs/p/N82E16835220123 (earrape but should work)

then for GPU, I'm gonna wait for 1650/1650 Ti low profile,

PSU, something short, perhaps even SFX.

also can you use unRaid for tensorflow etc and multi-user server?

Id really suggest getting something like a dell r720 here, much more pcie card, faster cpus, much more ram support, and about the same price.

Id stay away from low profile gpus here, just get a case that supports full size gpus.

Id stay away from unraid here, and use something like a proxmox as a hypervisor and do passthrough, or just run ubuntu or debian or centos on the box.

What do you mean by multiuser? Basically every modern os is multiuser.

win10 allows more than one user at a time, it depends on how your using the computer and the edition of windows.

4u rack mount is a lot nicer if you want gpus and atx boards.

Look for r720's on ebay to get the price, starts at around 300-400 and goes up with sepcs
