Macbook Pro for Logic Pro X

I am currently looking for a new MacBook Pro, and I was wondering if anyone has experience using the 4 v 6 v 8 cores and how it effects logic pro x. There is a lot of videos on Final Cut but very little videos on logic.

Well first of all it depends on 13 or 15 inch because that decides what CPUs are available.

Second, don't get 8 cores because the macbook pro isn't designed to handle that amount of heat.

So either the 4 core for the 13 inch or 6 core for the 15 inch are your two options.

For me the size doesn't matter, it is more the price. I can afford which ever one I want but I don't want to pay for performance I won't use in the 13 v 15 . My only gripe with the 6 core is by the time you get to the 512 ssd you are so close to the price of the 8 core. I know I contradicted myself but I am not worried about $100-200, but more the $700+ difference between the 13 with i5 16gb 512gb ssd and the 15 i9 16gb 512gb ssd 560x.

The i5 is two cores not 4.

I assumed you were only comparing 4,6, and 8 core models.

So for the 13" the 4 core i7 is the only option.

Also screen size is much more important than slightly more cores, you should choose if you want more portability or more screen realestate before you choose what CPU you get.

the new i5s are quad cores... Anyways screen size isn't more important to me than performance, if I am running multiple windows I will plug it into a monitor.

Just get the 6 core then, not the 8.
