What are you doing on the phone that makes it heat up? remember that it is an 8 core CPU/GPU running between 1.8 and 2.8Ghz in a tiny thin device. If you use the power of the phone (e.g. playing a 3D FPS at 60hz)  then it will heat up a lot, especially in summer weather.
