Screen mirroring on WebOS LG TV through Ethernet cable

Dear all,

There is a problem in my household.

I want to share my PC screen on my WebOS LG smart TV through an Ethernet cable.

My PC is sitting in my bedroom and is directly wired to my modem.

Same thing for the TV.

I can see my TV on the network, but don't seem to be able to connect to IT.

Based on my research, it's only possible to do this through Wifi or an HDMI cable directly connected to the PC.

I have 3 desktop PC's but no laptop, so I was hoping for an alternative through the network.

WiDi or Miracast seems to be wireless, so that doesn't seem to be an option.

I would have to stream my Desktop to Youtube or Twitch in order to view it on the TV.

Is this the only solution?

I'd appreciate any feedback in advance.

Hmm, that could work.

I wonder if this is the best option.

I'm actually quite surprised that there is support to connect through your phone and Wifi, but not Ethernet cable (home network).

@lieder1987 Thanks for the early response!

The LG TVs have Mircast. It's based on a wifi platform not ethernet. The ethernet port is purely for connectivity for the web os platform and smart functions.
