But I’ve looked up and others are saying 390x beats the 580

They’re similar but the 580 will be optimized and supported longer. It also is less power hungry.

They're very similar, the 390x draws more power.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Yeah I think it has more staying power. Being newer it will receive driver support ever so slightly longer.

580 is just a little faster but uses a lot less power.

around 40w less, for me that is insignificant.

220w on 580 vs 260w on 290x.

but yeah, go for 580 since it's only $20-$30 more.

Also i9-9900k  is 95w.

Different model different power consumption. Usually limited by cooling or/and BIOS.

This is Nitro 580 | ~230w
