As some of you may have saw on the Antergos website, development is stopping.

I knew people who liked  (or even loved) it, I never used it but I planned to until this of course.

Antergos was basically a graphical installer for Arch so I wouldn't say that - it still had faster package updates and for most other things there was barely any difference. It just came with fewer customizations out of the box.

The good news is that you can install Arch and Gnome 3 and get basically the same thing.

Yes, that doesn't mean someone couldn't have a personal preference for Antergos - they also had some extra repos with some stuff that would be in the AUR otherwise, a wiki and a forum. There are plenty of things in the Linux world that seem like unnecessary alternatives but that's part of the beauty of it. After all you could argue there's no need for a graphical Arch installer in the first place - the CLI version does "basically the same thing".

I only hope what free time (or time they put aside for this kind of thing) they do have goes back into, Arch, Manjaro and ARTIX...
