Try running DDU before installing new drivers. This will wipe any left overs of the current Nvidia drivers.

Run that ^ in safe mode, let it remove all remnants of nvidia drivers, then re install AMD drivers.

50% better performance is an upgrade to me, especially since the card is really cheap right now.
