So, originally I was planning to just wait for Maxwell, but now it seems too long of a wait. I mainly play CS:GO (which isn't demanding), but I want to play Titanfall and w.e "next-gen" game is coming out as well. I also want to play modded skyrim as I JUST got that game not too long ago during the steam sale. I have a few options in mind. What do?

1. Buy a 780, sell the 780 when 900 series comes out.

2. Buy a 780, sli later down the road.

3. Buy a 780Ti (expensive choice)

4. Wait a little and buy aftermarket R290x

5. Keep waiting for Maxwell

Note: I do not have a graphics card now as it is being used in another system.

Option 1. It'll do the job and be the cheapest option without having to wait.

I was kinda leaning towards this option. Though the cheapest price I could find was on newegg.com for $500. NCIX is out of the question, them Canadian prices. Any other sites that could sell for cheaper?

I think Option 1 would be the best as you don't have a card or get a non reference 290.

It doesn't get much cheaper than $500 as far as I know.

Option 1 :) Personally I would though sell it when the release date of the 800-series is confirmed, but before it launches. That way you can still sell it for a fair amount :)

Just my opinion though as I like being up to date :)

Alright 780 it is then. Would it be better to sli later on when it's cheaper or would it be better to replace it?

If you can wait, the 780 will be much cheaper when 800 series comes out. If not, grab that and sell for 900 series or SLI.

Says the guy with a 780 already. lol

Get a 780 or 780Ti. that should hold you for a while. I mean, I'm still running on a GTX 560 non-ti. and I keep average 70fps on low settings in battlefield 4, which is the most demanding game I'm playing. Honestly, whatever you pick from this list would do you good for a couple of years. :)

Bought it when it came out ;) Gonna follow my own advice and sell it on when the 800 - series is announced and then I'll buy two 880s when they come to market :)
