Fallout 4 (GOTY) in 2019 Worth it?

Hey!

so i noticed, on some uhh.. websites, Fallout 4 GOTY is only 20$ (CAD) 
.. I played through all the playthroughs on PS4 years ago, when it first came out but never touched it on PC with mods i think? and also GOTY.. 

 

is it worth it? Im really looking for a game to play, but idek can't find anything at a cheap price.

 

Also, I have a really weak GPU 1050ti, I checked any it says I can run it. but yeah.

i played it on gtx970 medium-high@1080p so your probably going to play at medium or medium-lows unless your going with 30fps, i never played goty so i cant comment about it.

This mod has been very fun mod to use in my current 211 mod play through.

GOTY is worth getting and playing through on PC modded, it's a great pick up for a game you can play through again and again never going down the same route.

PC modded is the why to go.

 

It is the game I play between new games along with Skyrim SE.

 

Be warned. You can mod it why past your hardware.

For example my game needs to be on 970 EVO to run smooth and a 2080 ti overclocked along with a 5ghz CPU to stay north of 60fps at 4k.

 

Playing at 1440 60hz is doable with your hardware. I played the vanilla game at 4k with a 980 ti and stayed at 60 90% of the time. For setup, have shadows at medium and godrays at high or less.  

 

Character creation is fun and there are hundreds of hair and armors to choose from if you play a female character.

Depends on what you are looking for. It's a terrible RPG, but good scavenging game and sort of town-building sim. With mods, obviously.

Also due to existance of mods - it's "sort of" good RPG, since you can tweak your character in many ways but story. Also gun porn, because people love them 4K textures for a rifle bullet.

Mine ran well about 50 fps at 1080p on a 680 GTX at medium-high. Unless patches made the game horribly slow 1050 ti should run well at medium

It should run at medium-high settings I would imagine.

Modding can add new life the the game.  The Steam summer sale is coming up to, so if you add it to your wishlist and wait I bet you can get it for closer to $10.
