Ive experienced bad fps in almost every assassins creed game ive played on pc so far, and from what im seeing its just that the games are bad optimized. i Got an ryzen 3 2200g 8gb ram rx480 and i can barely play assassins creed 3 at medium settings.

In short: Its probably not your pc fault of bad fps, its the game thats poorly opimized to pc. Cant do anything to fix it, at least from what i know. unless you can get an dedicated gpu, then it might run a little better. And dont always trust those "can i run bla bla bla on my pc" sites. They can sometimes be missleading, but in a few instances they might be right.

You don't even meet the minimum requirements, you have to upgrade your GPU

A dedicated gpu would fix some if the lag, right? or is it an all new pc thats required?

Yes just a GPU upgrade is enough, I played black flag on the same CPU as his but with an R9 280, it ran perfectly fine

his cpus mobo got an fm2+ socket, and it might be able to support an fx 770k which is almost 10-15% slower than the fx 8350. And the 770k is quad core too. how bigg of an upgrade would that be?

Wouldn't bother with a CPU upgrade, all the 4 core CPU's on the FM2+ platform perform exactly the same when overclocked, and it's not 10-15% slower than an FX 8350, that's an 8 core

yeh noticed that it wasnt just 10-15%. more like 50-120% slower

Just go for an cheap dedicated gpu, thats all you need. i would go for an ryzen 3 when the new 3gen is coming out too. But right now a new gpu would fit you well and also into the future, i would recommend an 1050ti, nvidias new 1650 or some other card that doesnt need a power connector cuz based on your system i dont think you got a good PSU so an power hungry gpu wouldnt be good. If u so happen to have a good PSU with at least 450-500w i would recommend any amd RX gpu instead. They can go for relative cheap on the used market and are really good. I bought an rx480 for around 100-105$ and it got the same performance as an 1060 6gb card.

I looked up what it takes to run Skyrim (used game-debate, actually one of the few websites i like, usually got everything right, maybe some problems sometimes but not often) and it seems like your gpu isnt really the strongest, and im also guessing your running at 1366x786. but they recomend at least an gtx260 or hd4890. But it should still be able to play on the absolute lowest settings, maybe not 60fps but at least 30+. Otherwise i would look for an cheap gtx 770 or 780. these cards are pretty good and you could probably put it in a new system if u ever get one. But before that i need to if u have a desktop or an laptop, as you havent stated it in the thread. And if you do have an desktop i have to know what kind of PSU you have, how many Watt does it have. And also if it got pci power cables too, if it got 6 pin, 8 pin etc.

@DankDeuxez Im a desktop user. And my power supply is a corsair platinum 1000watts. For pci cables yes i do have a 6pin and 8pin power cable

a 1000watts psu? And still just an a10 cpu? wow. Well that is good news, then you could look for old RX 400/500 series cards (no lower than 470 or 570) or a r9 gpu (no lower than r9 280). I would recommend the RX series cuz they are powerful and not so power hungry, but they do cost a little bit more than old r9. If you dont want to spend more money an r9 gpu could be good for you cuz they are almost as powerful but use a bit more power and are also a bit older. An old gtx970 could also be an option. You just have to look around for good deals! But after than i would try to go for an ryzen CPU cuz that A10 is pretty old.

@DankDeuxez i was thinking of getting a rx590. Is that good?

That is EXTREMLY good! its actually pretty new and its super powerful! If you got a good deal then do it! Tho i still would recommend a rx 570-580 or a rx 480, since they cost less and are still great 1080p high/ultra gpus. And also cuz you may not be able to get all the performance out of that 590 cuz of a cpu bottleneck, so its kinda usless to buy a powerful gpu but then not be able to feel all of its power. So if you go for an rx 570 and then upgrade the cpu you might actually be able to get more performance in games than if you stayed with your a10 and a rx590. So im saying go for something less expensive and get an ryzen 3 maybe wait for the 3rd gen Zen cpus.

@DankDeuxez really? wow. Thanks for telling me. but will i be able to play battlefield 1 or 5. or the other assassin's creed games.

The cpu isnt powerful enough for battlefield 5, so im still saying get a ryzen 3 and a rx 480/570/580. Even though you get a rx590 would will still not be able to get better fps due to cpu bottleneck. So if you get a ryzen 3 and a rx 480/570/580 you could esaily play battlefield 1 and maybe 5 high/ultra settings.

This is the Minimum system requirements. and as you see your cpu can barely make it to half of it.

(Please Note: there arent  any rx590 benchmarks in battlefield 5 rn so there arent any "line" but it is powerful enough.)

@DankDeuxez also can i run gta v all ultra settings. with a rx590

well a rx590 will be able to do that, but with your cpu, no. I dont think it will be able to do so, since your cpu is too weak. And im certain you are not going to be able to run origins nor unity. i got a ryzen 3 2200g rx 480 and i can barely run unity. Not cuz my pc cant handle it, its just cause the Assassins creed games are poorly optimized
