you can use 1 screw.

the screw is only used to put it into place.

if its secured with only 1 screw, i can't see the problem.

in some situations you don't need a screw but it's recommended. I didn't have the screw but my m.2 is held down by a heatspreader

it's not that i need 2, i have 1 under that holds it up, but i need the other one that holds it do wn

do you mind adding a picture?

i can't think of any motherboards that require a screw to hold it up. Typically the slot holds it up and just 1 screw is required to hold it down

I believe he is referring to the standoff that he placed below his m.2 in the correct position for installation.

Your motherboard should have included screws, some keep them screwed into the standoff (the bottom screw you mention) or have them in a little baggie.  Check your motherboard box.

Otherwise:

Or pop into any PC store and ask.

From this im still not sure where the screw to hold it up would be. I still imagine you only need 1 screw for ththe very end to hold it down??

He is calling the standoff the bottom screw to hold it up.  He's technically correct too :)

@bulletrullen the proper term is "standoff" just like those used for your motherboard.

Oh i get it, it came with the standoff but not a screw for the standoff

Best bet would be to buy an aftermarket screw if the motherboard didnt come with one
