Rx 590

Go to solution Solved by MeatFeastMan,

Depends on the game. Chances are though you'll be at 45 fps at ultra. Of course though if you turn down to high/medium you'll reach 60 fps in every game. Other than maybe stupidly demanding games like Assassins Creed Odyssey where you need the kitchen sink to get 60fps. You'd have to turn it to low probably on that silly game.

The 590 is more like a high end 1080p card.

I'd look more to the Vega line. The 64 has a particularly good model on a U.S. sale.

The 1660Ti is also an option, though less powerful than the V64.

I am not looking to spend that much money the vega 64 is priced from 550 - 630 and the 1660 ti is from 280 - 310

I'm with you. I'm just stating that the 590 may currently keep up in 1440p 60hz, but it's on the lower side of those cards.

I know that's one of the reasons I'm choosing it, it is fairly cheap but can also keep up for what I want to do

@Ciaccio_47 if you can get to 300 you can grab a Vega 56 right now. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/cKhKHx/sapphire-radeon-rx-vega-56-2gb-pulse-video-card-11276-02-40g

otherwise, I would say as long as you’re smart with your in game settings you can get a solid 1440p 60fps experience. However,  If you run vsync FPS drops will cause stuttering.

I don't want a vega 56 because it is 70 dollars more than the 590 and the 590 can suffice for what I want to do as I have just been so kindly told but thank you for the suggestion.

i have a 590 and a 8350 its really going to depend on the game and engine.....example division2 @ 1440 all high runs steady at 60 fps.....unreal games like ark and atlas run 60fps + also with a little tweaking....wot, ps2, sto run 4k at 60fps (older games but still), dbd also 60+......im on a 4k 60htz tv so i have games locked at 60fps but still have the fps ticker in the corner to make sure im playing at good fps

A 590 is as fast as a Fury (Fury 1% average faster) - one of my gaming rigs is hooked to an Acer 1440p 144hz monitor.  You will achieve 60+ FPS in most titles, at Ultra, at those settings, if your RAM has a high frequency (10% average difference from 2133mhz to 3200mhz).  For sure achieve 60 FPS is you don't use anti-aliasing etc.  Im not sure if the 590 is meant for 2k though, as my Fury SCREAMS at 2k but is throttled at 1600x900 for sure.

The RX590 is the worse value Polaris card of all... at that price point I'd be looking at GTX 1660 Ti ~ V56 cards already.
