Ok i will try to convince the guy to go with this, but he is stubborn so we will see how that goes

Any extra handful of dollars goes a long way at this price point, small jobs to earn some pocket money will add the extra bang for buck you need.

At this point wouldn't 400 dollars be better spend on a console?

Any ways, no... that PSU would be bad and give you no upgrade path...

Only thing missing to make your build an amazing value is try to fit a dual channel 2x4gb in it somehow...

Ankerson, you're being elitist, a Ryzen 3 1200 with a RX 570 while won't be ideal can still run these games at acceptable framerate on 1080p.

We both know it's far from ideal, but it's enough for plenty of people and we gotta understand that $ is $.

It should run most games pretty good at even high settings. AAA games will probably only be at low-medium, but the RX 570 is definitely not bad, on par with a 1060 3gb

Actually no, it wouldn't take much more to actually put together some quality parts so the PC will actually last and have some upgrade future without have to replace parts already bought.
