Hi guys was just curious what temps are people getting on 5ghz OC on the 9900k 1.3v and under when using prime95

Hi guys please forgive me if all this is stupid and easy that I’ve put but i’m Pretty new to Pc so just getting to grips with things. I have Aorus pro mobo 9900k and a h150i Cooler.

 

when In the  gigabyte bios and on smart fan 5 I have CPU fan running at 2000rpm and the fan 6 and fan 5 pump running at 0 rpm is this normal and if not what’s the best way to fix it settings wise cheers. im on 1.31v and when doing the first test on prime 95 my cores all run at like 90-96c i have a Corsair h150i cooler should they be lower than this?

just ran it on 26.2 Small FFT's and still all cores 90 plus...

alright its only 2 days old.. i haven't changed anything in the corsair settings should i ?

Don't use AIO's at all so I dunno.

Clean the paste off the CPU and cooler and put on new.

 

make sure it's good stuff.

 

And make sure it's mounted right.

hey guys so i know this is a warm cpu to start with but OC at 5ghz on 1.31V and i'm getting 95 plus on all cores i have a AIO cooler 360mm H150i which i presumed would of been good enough to cool it one thing is do my AIO settings need to max RPM?

If your case airflow isnt good enough or ambient temperature is high, that will happen. 9900k OC asks for the best in everything.

 

You can check if the mounting pressure is too low though, also apply AVX offset if AVX work pushes temps too high

If your case airflow isnt good enough or ambient temperature is high, that will happen. 9900k OC asks for the best in everything.

 

You can check if the mounting pressure is too low though, also apply AVX offset if AVX work pushes temps too high

yeah so i re mounted and added new thermal and prime95 first test getting all cores low to mid 80s.

Edit: are you still using the Phantom 530? That would also explain some of it, as this case looks to have poor airflow.

yeah i am using the 530 but looking to change to the obsidian 500d in the next few weeks hopefully
