RX 570 Device Manager Code 43

kontex

I just bought a used (I think for mining) RX 570 8GB and just like my last buy an RX 560 it's unable to run drivers. Device manager just gives a Code 43 error and after trying everything I am unable to get the drivers running. Since it was used for mining I thought I might need to flash the GPU's BIOS. Is this a good idea? How would I do it? Any other options?

Not that it matters but

I7 3770

8gb ddr3

Asus p58m

Msi armor rx 570 8gb

I'm pretty certain that I need to flash the bios but I haven't found a singe tutorial on it that starts at the begining and finishes it. Tried atiflash but it's very complicated and I don't have instructions

What Operating System are we talking about? Windows 7 or 10??

Download Guru3D's DDU

Hold SHIFT while clicking on reboot

Advanced option, other and the last one at the buttom without a logo

Select Safe Mode, boot it up

Select DDU, remove nVidia Drivers, don't reboot, then Intel, then AMD and reboot.

Try again with the newest Driver.

it literally has 3 buttons: load, program and save

you need to download a bios from the internet, save the current ROM, then load the one you downloaded previously and progam it, that's pretty much everything

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

If OP uses Windows 10, GUI version of ATiFlash won't work, as it was crippled thanks to Windows updates. He needs to use the console version, which is bit more troublesome

Ex-EX build: Liquidfy C+... R.I.P.

Ex-build:

Meshify C – sold

Ryzen 5 1600x @4.0 GHz/1.4V – sold

Gigabyte X370 Aorus Gaming K7 – sold

Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 GB @3200 Mhz – sold

Alpenfoehn Brocken 3 Black Edition – it's somewhere

Sapphire Vega 56 Pulse – ded

Intel SSD 660p 1TB – sold

be Quiet! Straight Power 11 750w – sold

Why do you think you need to flash the BIOS??

That is not recommended ever...

Especially not for the 570.

It was used by a miner and now gives a Code 43 in Device Manager. I think I've tried everything else and this is the only thing that makes sense now. I'd be willing to tey othwr ideas but if not the bios seems to be the only problem

Look for a Switch on the Card.

Usually close to the I/O Panel.

AMD Cards usually come with 2 BIOS. My Power Color RX480 Red Devil for example does. As do my two 7970GHz/280X from Gigabyte (wich I used to flash a 7970OC BIOS onto the Card).

Your RX570 should have a similar switch.

This one doesn't have a bios switch but i figured it out. It was the bios and it's fine now

Thanks!
