how to fix high gpu temps ?

hi guys. 

i have gtx 1080 g1 gaming 

idel temps : 25-32c

load : 74-80c

1- i have change the thermal to mx-4

2- changed the thermal pad to 1mm pads but "cheapest one i found "

any other steps i shall try?

Usually if you get high load temps like that its caused by poor case cooling, not the card itself. 

 

 

EDIT: if its the case listed in your profile, then that is 10000000% your problem. That case is horrible and not meant for high end hardware. You're choking your system being in that hot box.

i tried the gpu in 3 different cases, same problem

H440 is choked off as well. 

 

Sharkoon is what you have in your profile and is a hot box with ZERO airflow at the GPU.. or front in take for that matter..

Yes, take your side panel off and I bet you will get reduced temps.

I have a GTX 1080 in a NZXT H440 and see similar temps, maybe a couple degrees cooler at load (your idle temps at perfect). The "solution"? Get a case with better airflow and/or set a custom fan curve on the GPU to raise fan speeds at higher temps. Is this necessary? No, your temps are fine.

See, this proves the point that you have Zero air flow and effectively creating a hot box around your components. You need to get a better case with proper air flow.

tbh it back to 78 at 98% load , so nothing change. 

i bought the gpu used from mining user for cheap price 400 usd. meaby cuz if that ?
