Hey guys i was looking for advice on upgrading my pc. These are my current specs and planning on what im upgradfing to

 

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 OC

Aorus B450 Elite

16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz

MSI GTX 980  - Probably upgrading to RTX 2070

500GB Samsung 860 evo SSD

1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD

500W CoolerMaster Masterwatt lite - probably upgrading to 750W/850W Corsair RMx

AOC 144hz monitor - so i want 144 fps min

 

 

I want my pc to be high end/fancy

color scheme: black/red/rgb

Getting 144fps really depends on what game you play, and on the settings. You might not get it in all games.

 

why buy such a high wattage psu ? Look at my system and I’m running it with a 550w model, plenty !

 

do you have a budget?

almost all games on high/max settings but shadows and motion blur stuff disabled. I dont know my budget exactly but pretty high i guess and it has to fit the other parts....

Honestly just grab yourself a RTx 2080 and keep the rest of the System as is for now.

 

Zen 2 most probably will be released around July time this year - better wait and see how good they actually are and pricing, than buying a whole new system now.

Upgrade to a 1080Ti/RTX 2080, then upgrade the CPU when AMD launches their new stuff. Nothing else will really improve your system.
