1000 Dollar build budget options

Should I go with an i5 9600k with a rtx 2060 6gb or a i7 8700k with a vega 56. Or are there better options. Mostly for playing games like fortnite and overwatch.

yea stick with that the i5 9400F is slower but not by much and is a great deal.

9600k and a more expensive motherboard are only worth it if you really like overclocking, otherwise the cheaper B series board does real well

If you can hold out for zen 2 it will be

 

edit: if you go amd, just wait a few months and prices should drop when new CPUs drop. Or get one of the new cpus when they come out, up to you.

Yeah but for a $1000 build it’s kinda up to him

 

edit: intel’s chips do have better performance but that better performance just comes at a larger price tag.
