Best competitive gaming headset?

Looking for a new headset since my cloud 2's are getting old now, looking for something that both sounds good for media and is good for semi-competitive gaming :D
Doesn't need mic, got a blue yeti so can go for either headset or headphones

Budget is like ~150€, can go under/over depending on how good it is

Do you plan on playing at LANs? If so you'll want In ear monitors instead of an over ear headset.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Not right now, i'll start with over ear at home and get in ear later down the line if i need them

So in that case I'm going to recommend what my friends and I have used since I personally have not tried everything out there.

Astro's are good, Pr0phie (PUBG player for Cloud9) used the Astro A40s for a very long time and recently switched to the HyperX Cloud alpha (Sponsorship deal). Both are solid headsets but out of the two, the Astros usually have better sound for footsteps and position. Kaymind (Also C9 PUBG) also used Cloud II's even before C9 sponsored him.

Chapie used the G433 for a while, don't remember if he still uses them but he always liked them.

Most other players that I remember practice at home with IEMs so it sounds the same at home as it does at LANs.

Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic both also make headsets around your price range that sound amazing with games but also significantly more lifelike for music.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pros are around that price, as well as the Sennheiser HD 598 CS are both very good, as well as the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro.

I would get a decent pair of cans from sennheiser or Beyerdynamic or another decent headphone producer

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
