JustZion1878

My CPU temperature are almost reaching 80 Celsius (176 Fahrenheit) on Overwatch at max settings, is this worrying?

certainly a safe temp, but you could do better.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

You don't want to ever see 80c, not even a Aida64 stability test takes most people in the 60's to low 70 c.  That 80c should be in the 50's c and 60's c when you play a game.

Can you give us some more info about your computer.  You can fill in siganture or tell us in a post.

Hey fasauceome when the CPU goes to 90c or 100c it turns off automatically.  80c for a stability test or benchmark is a bit high, but I believe they can go to 100c then shutdown the computer to save the CPU.

Yes, I am aware

(well actually a lot of processors don't shut off automatically but decrease performance)

Thank you JustZion1878.. This makes the picture much clearer.  You have top notch rig and should in no way experience this stupid low fps issue you have.  Did you try DDU ?

Its not an fps issue, its just the temperature I don't want to risk the temperature being too high while gaming.

Remount your cooler, those temperatures should be significantly lower, by at least 15 degrees.

I was looking it up and apparently the overwatch in-game temperature monitor is broken, so I downloaded a 3rd party monitor and It doesn't go above 60 apparently and my gpu didn't go above 75. Are these temps better or is the HWMonitor not accurate?

Totally fine temps. 80°C would be on the high side of gaming but not dangerously high (yet).

You could check if your system would benefit from more case fans by checking the case temp. This way you'll know if your cooler is doing it's job correctly even though its hindered by bad airflow. If the case temps rise high up (say 50s and above) you'll benefit from better airflow. If your system stays below that it's either a bad mount or the cpu cooler is doing as good of a job as possible.

I think voltages are playing the tricks here. Disable any auto-OC feature your mobo might have.
