Yes i am.

Do you specifically need x470 too? There's some B450 boards that would fit fairly nice. Like the Pro Carbon AC.

Pro carbon ac Wont bottleneck?

Bottleneck what specifically? It'll do its job fine. If you wanted an even cheaper board, the B450 Tomahawk is a great choice too

Are you 100% sure that Pro carbon ac can handle overclocking R7 2700x?

Yes, it will

Do you know anybody who uses Pro carbon ac on R7 2700x?

I have a buddy who has one in their pc, they have a 2700 but either way, it overclocked fine

You don't need x470 to overclock

But do you know anybody on this site who uses Msi pro carbon ac?

this is my first build and i dont want to screw things up

I'm the one who set it up and overclocked it

You don't need to worry about anything. How far do you intend to push your chip?

Considering it's your first build, the Tomahawk will do perfect for you.

Difference in possible VRM/power delivery quality, maybe a slightly better boost- but it would be minimal. As long as you know you're getting a B450 board with decent VRM's you'll be absolutely fine and really won't be missing anything- unless, for some ungodly reason, you want to do crossfire or sli
